Conservatory Classes

Wednesdays @ 7:00-9:00 PM

Improvisation Skills – FULL COMPANY
Improvisation is a necessary skill for flexibility and teamwork on the stage. In this class conservatory members will better learn to break the ice, bond as a company, and deal with solving problems while on the stage.

Company Characterization – FULL COMPANY
An exclusive class for our company members, they will learn the basics of analyzing a script and a character and will apply their new knowledge to this year’s production. This class is based on the Stanislavski system of acting and will be taught in a college-preparatory fashion. An intense and in-depth study of our script, Characterization will help all of the conservatory members go deeper with their performance.

Saturday @ 12:00-1:00 PM

Vocal Conditioning – CORE COMPANY ONLY
In any performance strong, healthy voices make for a strong, healthy show. Company members will learn intermediate-to-advanced vocal techniques to help with vocal flexibility, projection, and purity of tone. They will also work specifically on learning to express their characters through the voice while still maintaining healthy singing techniques.

Physical Conditioning – DANCE ENSEMBLE ONLY

Dance ensemble members will experience a rigorous, professional conditioning class comprised of intermediate-to-advanced techniques geared towards aiding in strength, stamina, and flexibility. They will also work on learning to express characters and stories through movement while still maintaining excellent dance technique.
