 HEATHER CLEMMONS - Piano & Vocal Instructor
Heather Clemmons is delighted to be in her fifth year of teaching with Lopez Studios Inc. She is blessed to be a part of such a supportive studio family. Early on, Heather had the opportunity to work with the company for several years at their summer drama camps. She was also able to serve as both a substitute teacher and an accompanist for musical productions, festivals, and recitals.
Heather has studied a wide variety of instruments including piano, voice, viola, and flute. In high school, Heather was actively involved in choral and ensemble groups. She greatly enjoyed participating in piano and vocal competitions at the local, state, and national levels. She spent three years studying under Victor Lopez and Carmen Zabala at Lopez Studios Inc., before pursuing her degree in vocal performance at the Biola Conservatory of Music in La Mirada, California.
Along with teaching, Heather also has a passion for musical theater and opera. She has assisted numerous musical productions as both an accompanist and musical director. Performance/Production credits include: The Wizard of Wonderland, The Truth About Cinderella, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Beauty and the Beast, Don Giovanni, and The Old Maid and the Thief. She also greatly enjoyed serving as Music Director of two past LYPAC productions: Once on This Island Jr. and Honk! Jr.
