KEEGAN CASSADY - Lopez Conservatory Program, Acting Instructor
Keegan is glad to be returning to Lopez Studios as the Director of the new Fall Semester Conservatory Program, showcasing George Bernard Shaw's "Major Barbara." Last year, Jenn Kessler and Keegan inaugurated the Afterschool Program, where he had the pleasure of teaching and learning with some of Reston and Herndon's most talented elementary students. During that time, Keegan served as Assistant Director for the Washington Revels, ASM and understudy for Synetic Family Theater's "The Magic Paintbrush," and helped produce two plays at the Capital Fringe Festival. He has been teaching at various summer programs for the last six years; this summer, he worked with the Education Theater Company, covering Shakespearean voice work and improvisation. He also teaches stage combat, fine art, and acting. As a 2010 graduate of the College of William and Mary, he has taken courses in acting, directing, stage combat, physical theater, and playwriting. He looks forward to using all these skills to help his conservatory students grow. Here's to another great year!
