AMY BOWMAN - Piano Instructor

Amy Bowman (formerly Amy Peters) is beginning her fifth year at Lopez Studios. Amy holds a degree in Piano Performance from Shenandoah University in Winchester VA. While at Shenandoah she studied piano privately with Dr. Karen Walker and also took classes in piano pedagogy and elementary music. She has been teaching piano lessons for over 3 years in the Winchester area. Currently she teaches at Shenandoah University's Arts Academy in Winchester. She has also taught elementary music at the Performing and Visual Arts Northwest (PAVAN) performing arts camps in Winchester.
 
Along with teaching piano lessons, Amy also enjoys accompanying choirs and soloists. In 2007 she was the District XIV Middle School Chorus Accompanist, and in 2004 she traveled to England with the Voices of Youth choir tour. She has accompanied for various student recitals at Shenandoah University.
 
Amy is also employed at Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown VA where she serves as the organist and pianist as well as directs the children's choir and children's chime choir. Amy resides in Winchester and commutes to Lopez Studios for lessons on Mondays.
